Nida Broughton
UK Director, Centre for Evidence and Implementation
Nida Broughton has 20 years’ experience in public policy and research across the public sector, third sector and consultancy, with in-depth expertise in economic policy – including productivity, public spending, financial inclusion, labour markets and regulation. She is currently UK Director at the Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI). Prior to CEI, Nida was Economic Policy Director and interim UK Managing Director at the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT), where she oversaw BIT's work across consumer policy, business regulation, economic growth, sustainability and EDI. She is lead author of BIT’s flagship economic policy publications, The Behavioural Economy and Boosting Businesses, and oversaw BIT’s groundbreaking work on gambling research. Her research on central bank communications has been published in the Journal of Monetary Economics. Her prior experience also includes serving as Chief Economist at the Social Market Foundation as well as working at the House of Commons and Ofcom.
